Jimi Hendrix’ unreleased album to be released

Experience Hendrix, a corporate entity looked after by Janie Hendrix, the step sister of Jimi, recently announced the release of its latest posthumous offering from the Jimi vault, People, Hell and Angels. This is a compilation of one of his several unreleased records.

The legendary guitarist/singer, who died young at 27, has been the inspiration for his sister to archive his music and create a musical vault in his name at the Experience Hendrix. In Janie’s words, “He's a timeless artist and the technology's finally caught up to what he was trying to do musically. People are still hungry for real music and good songs, and Jimi was a great songwriter and one of the greatest guitarists of all time”.
People, Hell and Angels is a compilation of 12 unreleased studio performances of the great music legend. It also includes ‘newly struck’ mono vinyl editions of his early classic albums Are You Experienced and Axis: Bold As Love.  The album is one in a tribute series of albums, films, tours and books following Hendrix’s death in London in 1970. It also exceeds the number of studio albums that he had composed and released in his own short lifespan.

An American musician, singer and songwriter belonging to a mixed genealogy of African American, Irish, and Cherokee ancestors, Jimi managed to carve a place for himself in people’s hearts. He introduced and also popularized the guitar amplifier feedback or the acoustic feedback audio system in guitaring. The Jimi Hendrix Experience was enshrined into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992 and the UK Hall of Fame in 2005. His non-posthumous studio albums Are You Experienced, Axis: Bold as Love, and Electric Ladyland were ranked among the top 100 songs by the Rolling Stone magazine.  Are You Experienced was first released in the UK in May 1967. The album reached number 2 in the UK charts that year.

Hendrix formed a new band in 1966, the Jimi Hendrix Experience, with English guitarist-turned-bassist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell. Axis: Bold as Love was the Jimi Hendrix Experience's second album in 1967. This album was his first recording that was composed for stereo release. He used panning and other stereo effects. Electric Ladyland was Hendrix’s third recording in 1968 and described as his ‘masterpiece’ by a leading magazine, at the time.

Hug and Kiss ‘em & Hold ‘em close to you!

From the moment I conceived, it was my fantasy to have a super tactile bond with my child after he/she would be born (for the longest possible time, I felt it would be a girl!). After my son was born, things became different and the first three months were extremely painful feeding him or holding him thanks to my C-section stitches. So all maternal feelings vanished into thin air and all I could think was sleep or having “me-time”.  There was hardly a chance to cuddle up with him! Post partum depression had hit me big time and me not being able to calm down a screaming infant had dipped my morale too. Motherhood was nothing like I had imagined it would be! Besides I was terrified that my son would not accept me if I didn’t develop a bond early on. Of course, that did not happen. It was a mom’s fear that had spoken. After he entered the infamous toddler phase, I became the quintessential “villain” for my son – the usual don’t do this and that. Yet again, my dreams of becoming...

BPOs don multiple hats...

Till the advent of the computers, all papers and legal documents of every company were filed, stored and catalogued systematically in the form of files stacked in cabinets. If one had to access any of the data, they would have to employ people for the same work. Small and big organizations had to employ extra manpower if they wanted additional help regarding verification of financial transactions and company expansion activities. Outsourcing of jobs was unknown to many in the pre-digital era. Though, the system of awarding contracts to a third party for making machinery parts had begun long ago. Slowly, but steadily, organizations began understanding that they need to outsource other jobs as well, to increase the productivity of their company as well as performance of employees. They started creating strategies for to outsource their business to other companies, minimizing their own labor costs. The term business process outsourcing or BPO caught on with organizations, which start...
