How to choose the right antivirus program

A virus can destroy all your digital data or even distort information bytes. It is a computer program written by a hacker to either destroy your data or access your personal details. In today’s digital age, computer protection has become an important issue being dealt by the software industry.

More than anything else, big bytes of digital information are under threat of being destroyed. There are many computer protection reviews written by experts who warn of virus attacks on a regular basis.

The mediums for virus to enter and infect your system are either external (CD/floppy disk/pen drive/external hard disk) or internal (email attachments). For instance, if you open a spam mail saying you won a certain amount of money and it asks you to open the attachment, then the virus can access all your sensitive data in emails as well as local files. This is dangerous because the hacker who created the virus can make sure your system crashes permanently.

The history of a computer virus dates back to the early 1970s when the virus named Creeper entered the system through a floppy disk and made duplicate copies of files stored in the system. It popped on the user’s screen in the form of a message. Though this virus was just an experimental program written by a computer expert, over the years, many such programs have been written by hackers who find it easy to access a user’s personal data. The recent rumor that the FBI’s system was hacked was an eye opener for many. It made the world sit up and think if a virus can attack a fool proof system like the FBI, then how could other systems remain safe?

Computer protection reviews give insight about programs that protect computers from deadly virus attacks. The best computer protection these days is provided by leading anti-virus companies like Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky, Avira and Quick Heal. There are many others that claim to protect your system from virus attacks, though their credibility is still under the scanner.

Various computer virus protection reviews are available online on digital magazine websites. These give detailed and thorough analysis of every antivirus. Though, one has to be wary while choosing the right antivirus software for your system. Try and avoid those that mention a free download of the antivirus software because they may have an illegal license.

So, it is better to order a licensed version of the antivirus rather than download an illegal one in haste and repent in leisure. An illegal license would mean that the software would be effective only for a limited time period and it might leave your PC vulnerable to virus attacks.

Many technology-based companies have taken up the issue of computer protection software in a serious manner by installing strong antivirus software in their PCs, and creating fire walls to block malicious websites. There are also many websites that invite users to write a virus protection review and rate their choice of antivirus software programs to guide others while choosing the right one.

Initial viruses made their presence felt through messages on the screen or crashed the system instantly by replicating data. But now viruses act in a covert fashion, leaving your system extremely vulnerable. So, it is important to get your system scanned from time to time and read computer protection reviews to choose the right antivirus program.

Hug and Kiss ‘em & Hold ‘em close to you!

From the moment I conceived, it was my fantasy to have a super tactile bond with my child after he/she would be born (for the longest possible time, I felt it would be a girl!). After my son was born, things became different and the first three months were extremely painful feeding him or holding him thanks to my C-section stitches. So all maternal feelings vanished into thin air and all I could think was sleep or having “me-time”.  There was hardly a chance to cuddle up with him! Post partum depression had hit me big time and me not being able to calm down a screaming infant had dipped my morale too. Motherhood was nothing like I had imagined it would be! Besides I was terrified that my son would not accept me if I didn’t develop a bond early on. Of course, that did not happen. It was a mom’s fear that had spoken. After he entered the infamous toddler phase, I became the quintessential “villain” for my son – the usual don’t do this and that. Yet again, my dreams of becoming...
